A thesis lasts on average 3 years. Several obligatory events will punctuate these 3 years.

IN CASE OF A 4th-YEAR ENROLMENT (seesection 4th year) : if the defense takes place after september the 30th, the enrolment becomes mandatory and so is the meeting of the committee.

- 60 hours of scientific training and 60 hours of professional integration training (see details under the heading Doctoral training).
- It is requested to present its work at an international conference (preferably oral) as well as in laboratory seminars.
Every year, you must renew your enrolment. In order to get the approval of the doctoral school, the committee ("comité de suivi individuel") should meet and the resulting report sent to the doctoral school. The doctoral school may provide a financial support to all PhD students to attend summer schools. You just have to specify by email the cost of registration fee, accomodation and travel to D. Davesne who will tell to which extent the doctoral school can help. When you come back, please upload your certificate of training.
